Sustainable Event Management
Are you an Event Organiser or Manager? Are you a supplier to events? If so, you are probably aware of BS 8901, the Specification for a Sustainable Event Management System. The standard was published in 2007 and is now becoming the benchmark for the industry. It is aimed at the entire even t management supply chain.
Discerning clients are beginning to ask their suppliers to demonstrate their commitment and capability to apply sustainable event management principles. Implementing a BS 8901 compliant management system is one way of making that commitment and capability visible to clients.
The standard is exacting in its requirements, although if you are already certificated to ISO 9001, the quality standard, or ISO 14001, the environmental management system standard, then BS8901 requirements can be integrated with your existing systems.
If you are considering implementing the requirements of BS 8901 into your management system, we can help you in a number of ways:
- We can undertake a gap and maturity analysis using our specially developed tools to help you pinpoint where your company is in terms of sustainable development. This alone will help you demonstrate to your clients that you are serious about sustainable event management.
- We can provide consulting and advisory services to help you implement the requirements of BS 8901 in the most cost-effective and efficient way.
- We can provide Sustainable Event Management System (SEMS) awareness training to whatever level you need.
- We can train your management system internal auditors. MFQ have been delivering IRCA (International Register of Certificated Auditors) registered training courses for over 20 years.
All of our training can be delivered in-house at highly competitive rates or you can attend our public training programmes.
